AI applications are widely used for content generation and to tackle complex challenges in various scientific fields. Recent AI models have shown remarkable performance on some tasks, sometimes reportedly surpassing human capabilities. This progress prompts us to explore the intricate relationship between human and machine intelligence. In this seminar, we will delve into fundamental aspects of human intelligence, compare them with the current state of AI, and examine popular AI models like ChatGPT. We will assess their capabilities, risks, and limitations. Additionally, we will discuss paradoxes that define the future of AI in relation to human intelligence. The seminar will feature talks by:

- Emanuela Bricolo, full professor of General Psychology, University of Milano-Bicocca.

- Matteo Palmonari, associate professor of Computer Science, University of Milano-Bicocca.
